We have recently revised our submission guidelines. Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines below.
Are you an author of uplifting fiction? Canterbury House, an imprint of Dudley Court Press may be interested in publishing your book?
Uplifting fiction reflects one or more of these themes:
- Feel good
- Protagonist overcomes challenges and thrives
- Positive transformation
- Good conquers evil
- Good guys/gals win in the end
- Inspirational
We are looking for uplifting fiction. We will consider a story with an interesting supernatural element as long as it’s regionally significant. We will consider a well written memoir or inspirational novel that has a strong regional appeal.
We are not interested in spy thrillers, dystopian, or any books with graphic violence, sex, or foul language. We are not interested in children books, young adult novels, and poetry.
To be considered for publication, your uplifting fiction manuscript should be between 50,000 and 100,000 words and you should have an active author platform (including social media, newsletters, writing affiliations, etc.).
We accept submissions year round. There is no fee to apply.
